What were your engineers thinking?
I bought these and didn’t know each plug has three pieces and these have to be assembled to use. The additional two pieces fit inside the plug. You have to insert a tiny separator between the wires then thread the wires through a flat piece then insert both into the plug and crimp. Once I found this out I returned these for a refund and bought single piece plugs at another store.

Took something simple and made it complicated.
I am an IT Manager and have been making my own patch cables for over 20 years. I have never come across multi-part modular jacks like this before. There are "instructions" on the outside of the packaging but they are extremely unclear. After ruining two jacks I came to the website - and found slightly better instructions. Why does the jack have to be so complicated? The single piece jacks I've always used in the past work totally fine. The need to finagle tiny pieces is totally unnecessary and makes assembly far more complicated and time consuming. If the product had included proper instructions I would likely not have spent the time to leave this negative review. I will absolutely not buy these again.

Worst design EVER!!!
Three pieces?? Plus you have to have miniature hands in order to assemble these crappy connectors. The wire orders are also shown incorrect colors for standard US practices. Broke three connectors trying to assemble. Awful and frustrating!!!! The designing engineers obviously designed these to be as difficult as possible.

Absolutely Terrible Design
If you’re thinking on buying these…DON’T DO IT!! I can’t remember the last time I tried to use a product this bad. I just wasted an hour at a customers house and couldn’t get even 1 end on. Where is the negative star option

Very poor hard to use RJ45 mod plug
I find this a very poor plug. I did send an email to technical support and am going to copy its contents below
Bought a pack of 50 of these from Menards and attempted to put them on some CAT6 cable.
First of all, the directions are very difficult to follow
Also the color codes on the packaging are not the same as the normal T568B
Orange on 1 2
green wh on 3
Blue on 4
Blue wh 5
Green 6
Brown 7 8
Why the confusion.
Also…..
I looked at the packaging for the 50 pack (picture included) and it led me to www.legrand.us/onq and the brochure doesn’t even have this plug in it. Why would that be??
Also….
I read the reviews of this plug. All 5 were 1’s
I looked and looked for a video to show me the easiest/proper way to use this plug and found none.
I found some vids that were close but had a holes instead of slots for the orange and brown (which, to me, would work much better.
Can you send me a link to a video showing this plug proper termination technique please?
Up to this point I just want to return the bag of 50 now 45 as I messed up several trying to figure this out by trial and error.
Mind you that I have built a lot of patch cables but this is much harder than before using this plug.
Hoping to hear from you and also hoping that there is an explanation for the above.
Above all I hope that this plug is actually easy to install and that you can make/send me a video of how to do it.
I will be reviewing and giving it a 1 also but I hope I can be convinced that it is better than that.
Thank you
Matt S

Questions & Answers
Are these plugs good for both solid and stranded CAT6?
Yes. These plugs are rated for both solid and stranded wire.
Date published: 2023-06-05
Are these connectors AC346025 feed thru aka pass thru style?
These connectors use the EZ-RJ45 style compression tool which snips the conductors off flush with the end of the connector. So, yes, these are the pass-through style.
